Apples
- 4 pieces Apples firm, crisp variety like Honeycrisp
- 8 squares Chewy Caramel
Butter and Sugars
- 4 tablespoon Melted Butter
- 1 tablespoon Packed Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
For Serving
- 1 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream for serving
- Caramel Sauce for drizzling
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375°F or air fryer to 350°F. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugars, and cinnamon.
Slice the top off each apple and use a corer to remove the core, stopping before the bottom. Place the apple cut-side down and make thin crosswise slices, being careful not to cut all the way through the bottom of the apple.
Cooking
Fill each apple with two caramel squares, then brush the melted butter mixture all over the top and in the crevices. For the Oven: Place in a greased baking dish and bake until tender, about 30 minutes. For the Air Fryer: Place in the basket and bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
Serve the warm apples immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
