Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Baking Pan
  • Cookie Scoop
  • Wax paper

Ingredients

Brownie Mixture

  • 1 box brownie mix and the ingredients it takes to make them
  • ¾ cup chocolate frosting
  • 15 oz almond bark melted according to package instructions
  • 1 can cherry pie filling or maraschino cherries (see note)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bake the brownies as directed and let cool completely. Do not overcook the brownies, crunchy brownie bits don’t make for good bombs.
  • Crumble the made brownies and mix in about ¾ a cup of chocolate frosting.
  • Form the mixture into balls and make a hole in the middle to add a cherry.
  • Seal the cherry in the brownie ball and prepare all bombs.
  • Freeze the formed bombs for about 20 minutes.
  • Melt the almond bark as instructed on the package.
  • Once frozen, dip each bomb in the melted almond bark and let dry on wax paper.

Notes

Either cherry pie filling or maraschino cherries can be used. Maraschino cherries are easier to work with, but they may leak once inside the brownie bombs. Flash freeze for an hour if you plan to freeze them.
