Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 sticks cinnamon or about ½-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 bags black tea caffeinated or not
  • 1 cup oat milk or your favorite plant-based milk
  • 1-3 teaspoon maple syrup other sweeteners work too
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

  • Add the water and cinnamon sticks (or ground cinnamon) to a small saucepan, cover and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down and let the sticks simmer for about one minute. Then, turn off the heat and add the bags of black tea. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the bags.
  • Add the milk, maple syrup and vanilla to the saucepan and turn the heat back on (just to warm the milk). Once steamy hot, remove from the heat, adjust sweetness and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

This recipe makes for 2 small or one larger serving. You can also use this recipe to make cold cinnamon milk bubble tea. Feel free to customize the recipe by adding more spices, such as nutmeg or cardamom, and you can use different teas as well, such as Rooibos or Oolong tea.
