Equipment

  • slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Heinz chili sauce (12-ounce)
  • 1 can jellied cranberry sauce (14-ounce)
  • 1 tablespoon packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 bags frozen cooked bite-size Italian meatballs (14 to 18-ounce; do not thaw)
  • finely chopped fresh parsley leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Whisk Heinz chili sauce, jellied cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce together in a slow cooker until mostly smooth. Stir in frozen meatballs.
  • Cover and cook until meatballs are heated through and sauce thickens, 2 to 2 ½ hours on HIGH or 3 to 4 hours on LOW. For a thicker sauce, cook uncovered on HIGH for the last 30 minutes.
  • Transfer meatballs and sauce to a serving dish, or serve straight from the slow cooker. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a faster version, make on the stovetop, cooking everything in a large pot over medium-low heat for about 25 minutes. Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
