Equipment

  • 6-quart crock pot

Ingredients

Frozen Meatballs and Vegetables

  • 26 oz frozen homestyle meatballs Used a larger bag, no need for cornstarch slurry
  • 8 oz sliced brown mushrooms Optional, not used in the video
  • 1 sliced onion

Gravy Ingredients

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 oz brown gravy mix
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoon corn starch For thickening at the end
  • ¼ cup water For cornstarch slurry if needed

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place the sliced mushrooms and onions in the bottom of a 6-quart crock pot sprayed with nonstick spray.
  • Then pour frozen meatballs over the top, no need to thaw them.

Cooking

  • Add beef broth, gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, black pepper, and garlic in a medium bowl. Whisk until well combined and pour over meatballs.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 5-6 hours.
  • If your gravy isn't thick enough for your liking, whisk cornstarch and water together in a small bowl and pour over the meatballs and mix until well combined. Cook for ten minutes or until the gravy thickens.
  • Serve over rice or mashed potatoes, and enjoy!

Notes

I've seen this recipe popping up all over the internet but any time I want to try something new in the crockpot I look to see if Ryan at Slow Cooker Meals has made it before. I've tried a lot of his crockpot recipes and they are simple & easy, no nonsense, and always taste delicious and turn out beautifully!
