Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups peeled and sliced apples Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust based on apple sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup cold butter cubed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Toss apples with granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  • Spread apple mixture in a greased baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and oats. Cut in butter until crumbly.
