Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 2 ¼ Teaspoons Instant Dry Yeast 1 Standard American Package
  • 6 oz Warm Water around 115F/46C
  • 50 grams Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter browned
  • 1 Large Egg at room temperature
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry Milk Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 5.3 oz Pure Pumpkin Puree Not Pumpkin Pie Filling
  • 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 406-468 grams All-Purpose Flour 3 ¼-3 ¾ Cup

Filling

  • 150 grams Brown Sugar
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 3 oz Butter browned

Frosting

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese softened to room temperature
  • 2 oz Browned Butter softened to room temperature
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
  • 180 grams Confectioners Sugar Powdered Sugar

Instructions
 

Brown Butter

  • Brown all of the butter first, then use what you need for the dough and filling and chill the rest.

Dough

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water, let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Mix together and add sugar, browned butter, egg, milk powder, salt, and pumpkin puree.
  • Add in flour and pumpkin pie spice, mix and knead dough.
  • Preheat oven to 200F/93C, turn off oven, place dough in a greased bowl, cover and let rise.

Filling

  • Check dough after 45 minutes to an hour, punch down, roll into a rectangle, brush with butter and sprinkle filling.
  • Roll tightly, slice into pieces, place in dish, let rise again.
  • Preheat to 350F/180C, bake for 22-27 minutes.

Frosting

  • Beat cream cheese and brown butter until fluffy.
  • Add in remaining ingredients and beat until well mixed.
  • Frost cinnamon rolls while still warm.

Notes

Store leftover cinnamon rolls in an air-tight container for up to 3 days, best served immediately.
